Please note that from the 1 April, all races will be timed with an RFID timing chip. Riders can get their timing chip at any of the races starting at the Wartburg MTB Classic. They will be available for only R10 per tag. This tag will be stuck to your ROAG board and remain there permanently.
Tags will only be available for purchase AFTER the start of the race at Wartburg.
We would like to distribute as many tags as possible prior to going completely live, as we dont want there to be any issues with queues at the races to collect your tag.
All boards will need to have an RFID chip as well as the normal barcode. The tag will be used for the timing and the barcode will be scanned as a backup. This however will happen well after the finish line. So even if you dont have your tag, you will get a time, but it will not be from the finishline.
Please try and collect your RFID tag at any of the races over the next month. This will avoid any frustration waiting for a tag at future races.
Remember the cost is only R10 for a permanent tag on your race board.
